Giants name Lincecum, Cain as starters

San Francisco -- San Francisco Giants ace Tim Lincecum will face the Texas Rangers' Cliff Lee in Game 1 of the World Series, Giants Manager Bruce Bochy said Monday.

Bochy revealed he will go with the two-time Cy Young Award winner in Wednesday's first game at AT&T Park in San Francisco, followed by right-hander Matt Cain in Game 2.

Rangers Manager Ron Washington has revealed left-handed ace Lee will go in the first contest, but has yet to name the remainder of his World Series starting rotation.

Bochy said Jonathan Sanchez would start for the Giants in Game 3 at Arlington, Texas, despite an erratic outing in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series against Philadelphia -- which the Giants eventually won to clinch the NL pennant.

Madison Bumgarner will take the hill for the Giants in Game 4, the San Francisco skipper said.
