Auburn, ranked third in the USA Today-Coaches Poll, garnered a .9371 computerized ranking to grab the BCS lead for the first time in school history.
The Tigers went 8-0 for the first time Saturday after defeating Louisiana State 24-17. They have also notched wins over Arkansas and South Carolina and remain the lone unbeaten team in the SEC.
The second and third spots remained unchanged from last week. Oregon (.9069) stayed No. 2 after routing UCLA 60-13 Thursday to improve to 7-0. Boise State (.8846) again garnered third following a bye week.
Moving up from fifth to fourth was Texas Christian (.8833), while unbeaten Michigan State (.8387) jumped two places to fifth after a victory over Northwestern.
Missouri (.8006) made the biggest move, jumping from 11th to sixth after an upset win over Oklahoma (.6691), which fell all the way from first to ninth.
Alabama (.7100) was seventh, Utah (.7049) was eighth and Wisconsin (.6584) rounded out the Top 10.
