Wade hurts hamstring in pre-season opener

Wade -- who with off-season acquisitions LeBron James and Chris Bosh forms a so-called Big 3 for the Heat -- was taken from the court to the locker room during Miami's pre-season contest against Detroit, The Miami Herald reported.

The newspaper said Wade connected on a jump shot to give the Heat its first points and shortly thereafter pulled up lame on what appeared to be a routine possession.

Wade was first treated at the bench by Heat trainer Jay Sabol but then taken off the court and into the locker room, the Herald said.
