Kleybanova, the tournament's No. 5 seed, had six service breaks in a 6-1, 6-3 victory over the unseeded Zakopalova. She won $37,000 for finishing first. Zakopalova settled for $19,000.
"Before coming here I wasn't thinking about winning the title because I haven't been playing so well recently," Kleybanova said. "Day by day, match by match, I was feeling better about my game. Toward the end of the tournament I was fighting to win the title. I'm really happy that I made it in the end."
Kleybanova grabbed control early Sunday, dropping only 10 points in taking the first set and she kept the pressure on in the second set with a receiving game that piled up four service breaks.
Kleybanova, who turned professional in 2003, is 2-0 in finals this year. She claimed her first WTA title in a February tournament in Malaysia. Zakopalova is 2-9 in title matches.
