State Patrol troopers based in East King County said they pulled the man over for going nearly 20 mph over the Interstate 90 speed limit after the concert Saturday night at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, The Seattle Times reported Wednesday.
Troopers said a message the man, who was not identified, had scrawled on his car revealed to them that he had been pulled over earlier in the evening in Kittitas County.
"One speeding ticket 2 Dave -- $113," the back window of the man's car read. "Seeing DMB at the Gorge -- PRICELESS."
"He was so excited about having seen Dave Matthews, he didn't seem to mind that he had been stopped a second time," State Patrol spokeswoman Christina Martin said.
