Eggs and shoes were hurled at Blair along with assorted chants such as "Arrest the butcher Blair" outside Eason's bookstore during Blair's first public signing of his memoirs.
There was some pushing and shoving between police and about 200 anti-war protesters along the security barricades, Sky News reported.
Sky News said undercover police officers had infiltrated the crowd ahead of Blair's arrival and autograph seekers had to leave purses and other items outside.
Blair's book "A Journey" came out this week and his initial public appearances were scheduled outside Britain in an attempt to avoid protests such as the one Saturday, Sky News said.
