Grain futures close higher

Chicago -- Grain futures rose Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade with support from the dollar, which dropped 0.43 percent on the dollar index.

Soybeans were up 13 to up 15 1/2, wheat was up 8 to up 12 1/4 and oats were up 5.

Wheat futures rose with the dollar falling and exports for the third consecutive week topping 1 million metric tons. Soybean prices climbed modestly with late afternoon buying supported by a higher crude oil prices.

The prices:
Soybeans: Sep 10.13, up 13; Nov 10.14 1/2, up 15 1/2; Jan 10.22 1/4, up 15 1/4; Mar 10.26, up 15.

Wheat: Sep 6.56 1/2, up 8 3/4; Dec 6.88 1/2, up 8; Mar 7.11 3/4, up 12 1/4, May 7.14, up 11 1/4.

Oats: Sep 2.66 1/2; Dec 2.79 1/2; Mar 2.89 3/4, up 1; May 2.95 1/4 -- all up 5.
