New York -- Dustin Moseley pitched six-plus solid innings and Derek Jeter drove in three runs Sunday to lead the New York Yankees to a 7-2 win over Boston.

Moseley (2-1) who took the mound in an emergency start after A.J. Burnett was scratched due to back spasms, pitched well, limiting the Red Sox to two runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings to help the Yankees take a 2-1 lead.

Jeter capped a five-run fifth inning with a two-run double and Lance Berkman chipped with three hits and an RBI as New York established a seven-game lead over the third-place the Bosox in the American League East.

Red Sox starter Josh Beckett (3-2) was rocked for seven runs on 11 hits in 4 2/3 innings.

Bill Hall went homered and went 3-for-4 for Boston.
