Dolly Griffin, who lives at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Long Term Care Center in Miami, marked the 100th anniversary of her birth Monday with a party featuring four Polynesian dancers, The Miami Herald reported Tuesday. About 30 residents, workers and friends helped her celebrate.
"When I see these girls dancing, it makes me realize just how much I miss it," said Griffin, who opened a dance studio in 1930 and taught dance until she moved to the care center 3 years ago.
A pair of male dancers helped Griffin relive her dancing days by leading the revelers in a hula.
"I don't feel 100 years old," Griffin said, "and hopefully I don't look it."
