Almagro, seeded second, registered a 7-6 (9-7), 3-6, 6-3 victory over fellow Spaniard Daniel Gimeno-Traver in the first semifinal and No. 7 seed Gasquet moved on with a 6-3, 6-4 decision over Yuri Schukin of Kazakhstan in the day's other contest.
In his match against Gimeno-Traver, Almagro needed to save a set point in the first-set tiebreaker before taking the frame. Gimeno-Traver came back with a pair of saves in break-point chances in the second set, but Almagro established a quick 3-0 lead in the third before closing it, advancing to his second final in three events.
Gasquet, ranked 47th in the world, had an easier time with his opponent. The Frenchman broke Schukin in the eighth game to take the first set and broke again for a 4-3 lead in the second to cruise home with the win.
Almagro was the victor in his only previous meeting with Gasquet, beating him in a second-round match at Acapulco this year.
