MLB: Arizona 9, New York Mets 6

New York -- Kelly Johnson and Miguel Montero accounted for five runs with sixth-inning homers Friday and the Arizona Diamondbacks went on to outslug the New York Mets 9-6.

The Diamondbacks ended a seven-game losing streak by overcoming two home runs and five RBI from David Wright, who hit a three-run homer in the first and a two-run shot in the third to give the Mets a 5-4 advantage.

Johnson then put Arizona in front with a two-run blast in the sixth and Montero delivered a three-run homer later in the inning. Montero had three of Arizona's 13 hits.

Ian Kennedy (6-8) got the win despite giving up five runs on just three hits with four walks in six innings. Aaron Heilman allowed a hit in a scoreless ninth inning for his fourth save.

The Mets lost for the fourth time in six games. Raul Valdes (2-3) relieved Mike Pelfrey in the sixth and suffered the loss when he gave up both home runs in that inning while failing to retire a batter.
