MLB: Atlanta 2, Milwaukee 1

Atlanta -- Jair Jurrjens teamed with three relievers to throw a six-hitter Thursday and Atlanta improved the best home record in baseball with a 2-1 win over Milwaukee.

The Braves began the second half of the season with a four-game lead over the New York Mets in the National League East and their win over the Brewers was their fifth in six outings.

Jurrjens (2-3) allowed a run on five hits over 6 2/3 innings before giving way to Peter Moylan with two on and two out in the seventh.

Both Moylan and Jonny Venters worked 2/3 of an inning and Billy Wagner turned in a perfect ninth with two strikeouts to earn his 21st save.

All of the game's runs came on solo homers. Corey Hart hit one for Milwaukee in the first and Atlanta got home runs from Martin Prado and Chipper Jones in the third.

Dave Bush (4-7) gave up the two runs and seven hits over six innings to take the loss.

Atlanta is 31-20 at home this season. Milwaukee lost its fourth straight.
