Rahman canceled the June 20 Toronto date for his "Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour" after a lighting rig collapsed at the Pontiac (Mich.) Silverdome, injuring several crew members, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported.
Rahman said 10 tour dates are affected, including Toronto, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Boston, Houston, Dallas, Trenton, N.J., and Raleigh, N.C.
"While I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our friends in the U.S. and Canada, maybe it's a blessing in disguise, as we will have the opportunity to perform for you with even more energy and perfection," Rahman wrote on his Web site. He said the rescheduled dates would be announced after the tour completes its European leg.
The first of six shows in Europe kicks off in Zurich, July 16.
