ABC dominates ratings with NBA Finals

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Boston Celtics for the title in Thursday's Game 7, raking in 28.2 million viewers and an 11.4 share among adults 19-49. The viewership was the highest since a Bulls versus Jazz game in 1998, the Reporter said.
Thursday night's game was also the highest-rated NBA Final matchup ever broadcast on ABC, more than 32 percent higher than the last Game 7 to air, Pistons versus Spurs in 2005.
It was also the top non-Olympics broadcast in 10 years, the Reporter said.
ABC dominated the coverage for all seven nights of the finals, averaging 18.1 million viewers and a 7.3 rating.
