MLB: Cleveland 11, Boston 0

Cleveland -- Justin Masterson delivered a two-hit, complete-game effort Wednesday in carrying the Cleveland Indians to an 11-0 blasting of Boston.

Pitching against his former team, Masterson (2-5) won his second straight start after struggling for the first two months of the season. He was part of a trade last year that brought catcher Victor Martinez to Boston.

The only hits off Masterson Wednesday were a one-out single from Martinez in the second and a one-out single by J.D. Drew in the fifth. Masterson walked two and struck out six.

Cleveland was protecting a 3-0 lead heading into the eighth, but scored eight times in that inning. Travis Hafner highlighted the frame with a grand slam homer
The loss went to Clay Buchholz (8-4), who allowed three runs on just three hits in seven innings.

The shutout was the first of Masterson's three-year career and the complete game was his second.
