Hopper's funeral to take place in N.M.

Los Angeles -- Dennis Hopper's family and friends are expected to travel from Los Angeles to New Mexico for the movie icon's funeral, TV's "Entertainment Tonight" reported.

Hopper died of prostate cancer last Saturday at the age of 74. He is best known for his work in the films "Rebel Without a Cause," "Giant," "True Grit," "Easy Rider," "Apocalypse Now" and "Speed." He most recently starred in the TV drama "Crash."

USA Today said his funeral is to take place Wednesday in Taos, N.M., a town Hopper had always loved and in which he lived while he wrote, shot and edited "Easy Rider."
