Brian Moore said he was called to the Lake Worth house to remove the hive after workers discovered it inside a wall during a construction project, WPBF-TV, West Palm Beach, Fla., reported Tuesday.
"They weren't extremely aggressive, but they were fairly aggressive," Moore said.
"They've got to defend their hive. They give off a pheromone and it tells the other bees to attack."
He said the hive measured 6 feet long and 4 feet wide.
