Kuznetsova takes Stuttgart first-rounder

Kuznetsova, seeded third, rolled to a 6-1, 6-2 win over Katarina Srebotnik in a first-round match. Kuznetsova saved all three of the break-point situations she faced and won an impressive 71 percent of the points on her serve.

No. 5-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska was the only other seeded player on Tuesday's schedule. She advanced with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 win over Ana Ivanovic in a tight match.

Na Li posted the most lop-sided score of the day with her 6-1, 6-1 romp over Sara Errani. The match took just 55 minutes and Na matched Kuznetsova by winning 71 percent of the points on serve.

Also Tuesday, Anna Lapushchenkova stopped Olga Govortsova 6-4, 6-1; Alexandra Dulgheru beat Tatiana Poutchek 6-2, 6-2; Tsvetana Pironkova got by Margalita Chakhnashvili 6-3, 6-4; Shahar Peer escaped Polona Hercog 6-3, 3-6, 6-1; and Agnes Szavay topped Andrea Petkovic 6-3, 2-6, 7-5.
