Wozniacki, Govortsova gain MPS final

Wozniacki of Denmark had to rally from a set down to defeat fourth-seeded Elena Vesnina 1-6, 7-6 (7-4) 6-4. The defending Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., champ and 2009 U.S. Open runner-up was embarrassed in the first set but clawed back to win for the fourth time in five matches in the event.

Govortsova of Belarus, meanwhile, downed third-seeded Dominika Cibulkova in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5, in a match that lasted just under two hours.

The 21-year-old has yet to win a singles title on the professional tour.

Sunday's final will be the first time the pair has ever faced each other.
