Crude oil, gasoline, heating oil fall

New York -- Crude oil futures finished 1.8 percent lower on Friday, finishing down $1.52 to close at $80.68 at the end of trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Prices for crude began the day down, in part because of mixed news from Europe.

After a month of negotiations and various pledges of support, German officials said Thursday Greece should look to the International Monetary Fund for help with its debt.

Gasoline for May delivery declined 1.7 percent to $2.26 a gallon. Heating oil for the same month delivery was off 1.8 percent, closing at $2.08 a gallon.

Natural gas for May finished the Friday trading session up 2 percent to $4.17 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline rose to $2.811 per gallon Friday from Thursday's $2.799 per gallon, AAA said.
