COL BKB: Purdue 69, Northwestern 61

Inadianapolis -- E'Twaun Moore and JaJuan Johnson combined to score 50 points Friday, rallying No. 5 Purdue to a 69-61 decision over Northwestern in the Big Ten quarterfinals.

The Boilermakers scored the game's last seven points to fight off Northwestern and set up a semifinal meeting with either Minnesota or Michigan State.

Purdue won for the 13th time in 14 games, coming back from a four-point halftime deficit despite making just 36 percent of its shots from the field.

Moore scored 26 points and Johnson had seven rebounds to go with his 24 points.

Only five other Purdue players scored and none had more than five points.

Purdue had only a 62-61 lead when Chris Kramer made a layup while being fouled with 38 seconds to play. His free throw gave the Boilermakers a four-point cushion and Moore expanded that to six by making two foul shots with 15 seconds remaining.

Northwestern fell to 20-13.
