NHL: St. Louis 2, N.Y. Islanders 1 (SO)

Uniondale, N.Y. -- T.J. Oshie and Brad Boyes delivered the only goals in the shootout Thursday, boosting the St. Louis Blues to a 2-1 triumph over the New York Islanders.

Chris Mason stopped Frans Nielsen and Matt Moulson to secure the victory for St. Louis, which won for the sixth time in seven games. The only loss in that stretch came last Saturday at Colorado.

Mason made 29 saves, allowing only a power-play goal to Moulson with 10 seconds to play in the first period.

Patrik Berglund tied it 6:24 into the third, also scoring on the power play.
Martin Biron made 35 saves for the Islanders, including five in overtime. New York has lost four out of five.

St. Louis has a 3-1 mark on a six-game road trip that continues Saturday in Columbus.
