WASHINGTON, March 6 (UPI) -- Austin Freeman struck for 24 points only days after being diagnosed with diabetes, lifting No. 20 Georgetown to a 74-47 blowout of Cincinnati Saturday.
Greg Monroe collected his 11th double-double of the season, picking up 19 points and 15 boards as the Hoyas notched just their second win in six games but secured a first-round bye in next week's Big East Tournament.
Cincinnati (16-14, 7-11) got a career-high 23 points from Lance Stephenson while losing its third straight and seventh in nine to close the regular season.
