Deputy District Attorney Amy Okubo said in court Friday that Bonsall, 28, violated the conditions of his bond by allegedly testing positive for marijuana, prompting a judge to revoke and then reset Bonsall's bond, the Daily Camera newspaper in Boulder reported.
Bonsall was free on bond in connection with a felony second-degree assault charge. The assault charge stemmed from a December incident in which Bonsall allegedly used a broken stool to hit a friend in the face.
Bonsall, who played Andy Keaton in "Family Ties," is also facing failure-to-appear charges stemming from a 2007 incident in which he admitted to assaulting his girlfriend. The 2007 case ended with Bonsall being sentenced to two years of probation after pleading guilty to third-degree assault charges.
The former actor pleaded innocent to those charges during his court appearance Friday, the Daily Camera said.
