Barry Lane leads the Avantha Masters

New Delhi -- England's Barry Lane, a five-time winner on the European Tour, is the leader at the suspended Avantha Masters in New Dehli through 36 holes.

Friday, he shot a second straight 5-under-par 67 for a 10-under 134 total.

Lightning storms halted play Friday with fewer than half the field left on the course.

"I have actually started off the year alright, but my problem for the past two years has been my putting," the 49-year-old Lane said. "My putting has stopped me from scoring well."

Chinese Taipei's Chan Yin-shin is 3-under through 17 holes and is 10-under overall with Lane's countryman, John Parry, who is 10-under with two holes left to complete his second round.

The round is scheduled to resume Saturday morning, weather-permitting.
