Davydenko, Soderling advance at Rotterdam

Rotterdam, Netherlands -- No. 2 seed Nikolay Davydenko of Russia was among Friday's quarterfinal winners at the AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Davydenko, the world's sixth-ranked men's player, topped Austria's Jurgen Melzer 6-3, 6-2.

Robin Soderling of Sweden, the third seed and 2009 French Open runner-up, trounced France's Julien Benneteau 6-0, 6-1 in 64 minutes, and sixth-seeded Mikhail Youzhny of Russia knocked off No. 4 seed Gael Monfils of France 5-7, 6-2, 6-3.

Soderling was so dominant he won 22 of 32 points on Benneteau's serve.

Saturday's semifinals are Davydenko-Soderling and Youzhny against top-seeded Novak Djokovic, the world No. 2 in the latest men's rankings.

The 2010 Rotterdam champion will claim $380,000 following Sunday's final.
