The hip-hop star was scheduled to be formally sentenced and was expected to begin serving a one-year jail sentence Tuesday.
However, the judge overseeing Lil Wayne's case postponed the sentencing until March 2 because he is slated to have a dental procedure Feb. 12, TMZ said.
Details regarding the planned surgery were not immediately reported.
The rapper pleaded guilty last year to felony weapons possession after police discovered a .40-caliber semiautomatic gun in his tour bus, the New York Daily News said.
