Russia heads for Fed Cup duel with U.S.

Belgrade, Serbia -- A doubles win by Svetlana Kuznetsova and Alisa Kleybanova Sunday carried Russia into the Fed Cup semifinals, where its opponent will be the United States team.

Kuznetsova and Kleybanova knocked off Jelena Jankovic and Ana Ivanovic 6-1. 6-4 and the Russians had a 3-2 quarterfinal victory over Serbia.

Kleybanova had earlier tied the best-of-five series 2-2 with a singles win over Ivanovic.

The United States team advanced to the semis against the Russians with a 4-1 win over France.
