NHL: Washington 5, Pittsburgh 4 (OT)

Washington -- Alex Ovechkin's hat trick and Mike Knuble's overtime goal Sunday carried Washington to its 14th straight win, a come-from-behind 5-4 decision over Pittsburgh.

The winning streak is the longest in the NHL since Pittsburgh won 17 straight in 1993.

The Caps erased a three-goal deficit and won on Knuble's power-play goal with 2:11 remaining in the extra session.

Ovechkin scored once in the second period and twice in the third. Eric Fehr got the other goal for Washington.

Sidney Crosby and Jordan Staal each produced a pair of goals for the Penguins.
Caps goalie Jose Theodore made 31 saves and Pittsburgh's Marc-Andre Fleury had 29.
