Sheen to be charged with felony menacing

Aspen, Colo. -- U.S. actor Charlie Sheen is expected to be charged with felony menacing for allegedly threatening his wife, law enforcement sources told TMZ.

Sheen, who stars in TV's "Two and a Half Men," was arrested Dec. 25 in Aspen, Colo., after an altercation with Brooke Mueller, the mother of his twin infant sons.

TMZ said Sheen is also expected to be charged with misdemeanor assault late Friday or early Monday in connection with the incident.

Sheen is due to be arraigned Monday, the entertainment news Web site added.

Mueller and Sheen were ordered to stay away from each other, but both parties reportedly are eager to put the incident behind them, resume their marriage and continue raising their children together.

The protective order was temporarily lifted last month so Sheen could visit his wife in the hospital, where she was being treated for a dental-related infection and pneumonia.
