COL BKB: Tennessee 63, Alabama 56

Tuscaloosa, Ala. -- No. 10 Tennessee overcame cold shooting, getting 17 points from Scotty Hopson Tuesday to down Alabama 63-56.

The Volunteers (15-2, 3-0 SEC) won despite shooting only 39.9 percent from the field. They benefited from Kenny Hall's 12 points and 10 rebounds while Wayne Chism added 11 points and grabbed seven boards.

Hopson connected on all three of Tennessee's 3-pointers in the contest. Bobby Maze scored nine points.

The Crimson Tide (11-7, 1-3) were led by JaMychal Green with 16 points and 12 rebounds while Tony Mitchell registered 11 points, grabbed nine rebounds and batted down five Tennessee shots.

Alabama suffered from sloppiness, turning the ball over 14 times in the loss.
