Letterman to mark 10th year since surgery

New York -- David Letterman plans to mark the 10 years that have passed since his quintuple bypass by talking to his heart surgeon on his U.S. talk show, CBS said.

Dr. O. Wayne Isom is to appear on Thursday's edition of "Late Show with David Letterman."

Isom, the chairman of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center, led the team of surgeons who performed Letterman's emergency quintuple bypass on Jan. 14, 2000.

Also scheduled to appear on the show are Denzel Washington, star of the new film "The Book of Eli," and musical guests The Low Anthem.
