The junior shooting guard from Mitchellville, Md., sank 12-of-20 shots overall, including 5-of-9 3-pointers, to lead Georgetown back from a 40-25 halftime hole.
His back-to-back layups gave Georgetown a 63-59 lead with 5:09 left.

Greg Monroe scored 15 with 11 rebounds and Chris Wright added 14. Freeman added seven rebounds, three assists and three steals for the Hoyas (12-2, 3-1 Big East), who beat UConn a fourth straight time.

Stanley Robinson's 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists led Connecticut.

Jerome Dyson scored 12 points, and Alex Oriakhi and Jamal Coombs-McDaniel added 11 each for the Huskies (11-4, 2-2), whose largest lead was 40-21 with 1:20 left in the first half.
