The figure released Friday is the second official estimate, not including a so-called flash estimate released in November.
For the 16 nations that share the euro as currency, the GDP rose 0.4 percent in the third quarter, while the economies of the 27-nation European Union experienced 0.3 percent growth in the third quarter, Eurostat said.
Changes were made concerning Estonia's GDP, down 3 percent rather than 2.8 percent. In Greece, Eurostat said the economy shrank 0.4 percent, rather than 0.3 percent.
Other shifts include Cyprus, down 0.6 percent, rather than 1.4 percent; Britain down 0.2 percent, rather than 0.3 percent; and Portugal down 0.7 percent rather than 0.9 percent. Romania's GDP was revised to show a 0.6 percent drop, compared with a previous estimate of 0.7 percent.
