Mclean -- Alabama, which was a clear winner in the Bowl Championship Series title game, is the unanimous No. 1 in the final USA Today Coaches' football poll.

The Crimson Tide completed a 14-0 season with a 37-21 victory Thursday over Texas and took all 58 votes from the coaches on the USA Today voting panel.

The Longhorns (13-1) and Florida (13-1), whose only losses were to Alabama, finish second and third, respectively. Boise State, at 14-0 the only other undefeated team this season, is fourth and Ohio State (11-2) is fifth.

Texas Christian (12-1) slips from third to sixth while Iowa (11-2) and Penn State (11-2) are seventh and eighth, giving the Big Ten Conference three teams near the top of the poll. Cincinnati (12-1) winds up ninth and Virginia Tech (10-3) is the season-ending No. 10 team.

Oregon (10-3) is 11th, ahead of No. 12 Brigham Young (11-2) while Georgia Tech (11-3) is in 13th, Nebraska (10-4) is at No. 14 and Pittsburgh (10-3) 15th.

Wisconsin (10-3) has enough votes to finish 16th, Louisiana State (9-4) is at No. 17, Utah (10-3) with Miami (Fla.) (9-4) in 19th and Southern California (9-4) at No. 20.

Mississippi (9-4) comes in at No. 21 with, in order, West Virginia (9-4), Texas Tech (9-4), Central Michigan (12-2) and Oklahoma State (9-4) completing the Top 25.
