Report: Woods' Dubai course to continue

Dubai -- U.S. golfer Tiger Woods will continue to construct a first class golf course in Dubai, HotelierMiddleEast.com reported Wednesday.

The confirmation was made in a statement by Tiger Woods Dubai as he continues his effort to rebuild his family and personal life after numerous revelations in the past several weeks about extramarital affairs.

"The Tiger Woods Dubai, a member of the Dubai Properties Group, can confirm that it remains committed to the completion of its centerpiece Al Ruwaya Golf Course, and that progress continues on the first golf course designed by Tiger Woods Design," Wednesday's statement read.

"We will be more than delighted to welcome you to Dubai," Golf in Dubai CEO Mohammad Juma Bu Amin told Gulf News. "Consider Dubai your second home. "We are with you in this difficult time and respect your request for family privacy."

Woods said recently he is taking an "extended" leave of absence from the sport.
