Haier America recalls blenders

America blenders due to a laceration hazard.
The blenders were imported from China by Haier America Trading LLC of New York and sold nationwide from November
The recall involves commercial-style blenders, a 500-watt unit with model number HB500BSS. These are stainless steel and black plastic blenders with "Haier" printed below the power switch.
The company has received 60 reports of blade assemblies of these blenders breaking or coming apart, which would increase risk of lacerations.
Consumers were advised to stop using the blenders and contact Haier America for a free replacement blade assembly.
