Kanawha County Sheriff's deputies said Kimberly Daugherty, 48, had argued over the phone with her daughter, Crystal Shamblin, early Wednesday morning and went to her Sissonville home to continue the argument, The Charleston (W.Va.) Daily Mail reported Thursday.
The argument became physical outside of Shamblin's home and Daugherty shoved her son-in-law, Richard Shamblin, 22, into the path of an oncoming Jeep Cherokee driven by her sister, Rita Taylor, 50, of Charleston, deputies said.
Daugherty then jumped into the Jeep and fled.
Richard Shamblin, whose leg was run over by the Jeep, was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Daugherty was arrested and charged with attempted murder. She was taken to South Central Regional Jail.
