Four share Hong Kong Open lead

Hong Kong -- Wen-Chong Laing fired a 5-under-par 65 Friday and is among four players tied for the lead after 36 holes of the European PGA Tour's Hong Kong Open.

Liang, Gregory Bourdy, Robert-Jan-Derksen and Charl Schwartzel are at 9-under 131, one stroke ahead of Rory Sabbatini and Chinarat Phadungsil. Scott Strange matched Laing's 65 and tied for seventh with four other players at 7-under.

First-round leader Udorn Duangdecha, who opened the tournament an 8-under 62, struggled with a 74 Friday and dropped into a tie for 34th at 4-under.

Liang was the only player among the leaders to be bogey-free Friday. He had a birdie at No. 7 and was 1-under on the day after 11 holes. He had back-to-back birdies at Nos. 12 and 13 and capped the day with birdies at 17 and 18.

Schwartzel had a bogey at the first hole but was 5-under the rest of the way to earn his share of the lead with a 66. Bourdy had six birdies Friday but a double-bogey 5 at No. 8 and a bogey at 18 kept him from the outright lead. Derksen was 4-over in a stretch of four holes but also had three consecutive birdies en route to a second round 68.
