Cher to play more dates in Vegas

Tickets for Cher's Spring 2010 performances at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace are to go on sale Saturday. Tickets will be available for 24 performances from April 10-25 and May 8-30, promoters said.

The pop icon also will, starting Nov. 19, open her act with a new sequence and more glitzy Bob Mackie costumes, AEG Live said in a news release.

"We are so excited to return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and have made wonderful, new changes to the show, including a number choreographed by my dear friend Tyce Diorio from 'So You Think You Can Dance,'" Doriana Sanchez, director and choreographer of "Cher at The Colosseum," said in a statement about the stage show's return after a brief hiatus. "It pays homage to the great movie musicals, complete with incredible costumes by Bob Mackie. We are thrilled to be able to present some really fun and new things for the audiences to see."

Cher is to return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for a series of shows Nov. 19 through Dec. 20.

The singer and actress began her 3-yearlong stint at the Colosseum in May 2008.
