Chinese-made moon cakes are recalled

Washington -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of White Lotus-brand seed paste moon cakes (two yolks) because of a labeling error.

Washington -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of White Lotus-brand seed paste moon cakes (two yolks) because of a labeling error.

The FDA said the Domega International Co Ltd. of New York initiated the recall because the product contains undeclared eggs, posing a serious health risk to people allergic to eggs.

The recalled "White Lotus Seed Paste Moon Cake (two yolks)" was distributed nationwide in an uncoded, 22.5-ounce. metal tin. It is a product of China.
Consumers allergic to eggs may return the product to the place of purchase or contact the company for further information at 646-388-3032.
