Wozniacki ran past Katie O'Brien 6-0, 6-1 in a 44-minute match in which Wozniacki dropped just nine points over six service games. Wozniacki, the defending champion of the tournament, won 71 percent of the points in the match, including 69 percent when O'Brien served.
She draws No. 6-seeded Aleksandra Wozniak in Friday's quarterfinals. Wozniak claimed a 7-5, 7-6 (7-2) win over Kai-Chen Chang in her second-round match.
No. 3-seeded Samantha Stosur had nearly as easy a time Thursday as Wozniacki, dispatching Akiko Morigami 6-1, 6-2 in 56 minutes. Stosur didn't face a break point in the match.
Also Thursday, Jill Craybas defeated Mathilde Johansson 2-6, 6-2, 6-0. Craybas's serve was broke three times but only once after the first set. She goes against Stosur in the quarters.
In quarterfinal pairings set after Wednesday's results, second-seeded Marion Bartoli meets Sania Mirza and No. 4-seeded Francesca Schiavone plays seventh-seeded Melinda Czink.
