Season 5 'Talent' audition dates set

Universal City, Oct. 12 -- The producers of "America's Got Talent" have set audition dates for the upcoming fifth season of the series in Chicago, Philadelphia and New York, NBC said.

Open casting calls are to take place in Chicago Saturday and Sunday, followed by auditions in Philadelphia Oct. 25-26 and in New York Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, the network said in a release Monday.

"Season 5's search for talent will be bigger and more extensive than ever with the largest audition events in the show's history. More cities are to be announced soon," the network said. "Producers will be looking for talent of all kinds -- musicians, dance crews, magicians, contortionists, comedians, singers, jugglers, animal acts and everything in between, from all walks of life -- to strut and perform on-stage competing for America's votes, a headline show in Las Vegas and a $1 million prize."

Kevin Skinner, a singing chicken farmer from Mayfield, Ky., was crowned the winner of Season 4.
