MLB: Philadelphia 6, Colorado 5

Denver, Oct. 12: Closer Brad Lidge stranded two but got the Philadelphia Phillies' 6-5 win Sunday over the Colorado Rockies in Game 3 of the National League Division Series.

Lidge, who blew a league-high 11 saves during the regular season, induced Rockies Troy Tulowitzki to pop to left to end the game, giving the Rockies a 2-1 edge in the best-of-five divisional series.

In the top of the ninth, Ryan Howard drove in Jimmy Rollins, representing the go-ahead run, with a sacrifice fly. Carlos Ruiz knocked in two runs, while Chase Utley homered and scored twice for the defending World Series champions.

Carlos Gonzalez collected three hits, including a homer, and scored three times for the Rockies. Garrett Atkins added two RBI.

Both starters were chased from the mound in early innings. Phillies J.A. Happ left after allowing five hits and three runs over three innings. Colorado starter Jason Hammel was gone after 3 2/3 innings as he allowed four hits and four runs.

The game lasted the four-hour, six-minute marathon. The 35-degree game-time temperature tied the lowest ever for a postseason contest and it came after Game 3 was postponed Saturday because of snow.
