MLB: Atlanta 6, Washington 3 (10 inn.)

Washington, Sept. 27: Atlanta scored three times in the top of the 10th inning Sunday to beat Washington 6-3, capping a three-game sweep.

In the pivotal inning, Brian McCann's ground out drove in the game-winner and Omar Infante delivered a two-out, two-run single.

Yunel Escobar had two hits and one RBI.

Two others also had one RBI, while Chipper Jones added two hits for the Braves, who have won 10 straight on the road, one shy of the franchise record, maintaining their slim post-season hopes.

The winner was Mike Gonzalez (4-4).

Closer Rafael Soriano earned his 27th save with a 1-2-3 10th.

Washington's Ryan Zimmerman and Josh Willingham hit back-to-back first-inning homers.

Mike Morse hit one in the fourth, while Willie Harris had three hits for the Nationals, who have lost seven of eight.

The losing pitcher was closer Mike MacDougal (1-1).
