Motorola to launch Android-based phone

The phone features MOTOBLUR, a program that manages and synchronizes social Web sites such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter with emails and phone messages, "so there is no need to open and close different mobile applications to keep up with the latest content," Motorola said in a release.

The phone features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 3.1-inch touch-screen display, a 5 megapixel auto focus camera and a music player with pre-loaded Amazon MP3 store application.

Motorola is touting the MOTOBLUR function that "automatically syncs conversations, contacts and content, and delivers a solution that's instinctive, social and smart," said Chief Executive Officer of Motorola Mobile Devices Sanjay Jha.

Motorola did not specify a launch date, but said, "CLIQ with MOTOBLUR will be available exclusively to T-Mobile customers later this fall in two colors -- Titanium and Winter White."
