MLB: Boston 10, Baltimore 0

Boston -- J.D. Drew's three-run blast was one of six Boston homers Tuesday when the Red Sox posted a 10-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

Dustin Pedroia had two home runs, one of them for two runs, and Kevin Youkilis, David Ortiz and Alex Gonzalez each had a home run for the Red Sox.

Winning pitcher Clay Buchholz (5-3) allowed three hits and a walk in seven scoreless innings.

The win gives Boston a 2 1/2-game lead over Texas for the AL wild-card spot, with the Rangers playing in the nightcap of a doubleheader in Cleveland Tuesday.

Matt Wieters had two of the five hits for the Orioles.
Losing pitcher David Hernandez (4-7) gave up six runs on four hits, all home runs, in 2 2/3 innings.
