MLB: Colorado 4, Cincinnati 3

Denver -- Ian Stewart hit a leadoff homer in the eighth Monday to give the Colorado Rockies a 4-3 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

Stewart's 23rd home run of the season helped the Rockies win their fourth straight and remain 3 1/2 games behind the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West, and two games ahead of the Giants in the NL wild-card chase.
Todd Helton added a pair of RBI for the Rockies.

Ubaldo Jimenez allowed three runs on six hits and three walks in six innings. Rafael Betancourt (3-3) got the win for a perfect eighth inning.

Jonny Gomes hit a two-run homer and Scott Rolen drove in a run for the Reds, who had won 12 of their previous 14 games.

Carlos Fisher (1-1), who was called up from the minors Monday, took the loss after allowing the game-winning homer.
