MLB: Colorado 5, LA Dodgers 4

The Dodgers, who once were running away with the National League West race, saw their lead over Colorado cut to two games. The Rockies also began the night with a four-game advantage over San Francisco in the NL wild-card race.

Los Angeles rallied from a two-run deficit to tie it in the ninth but left the bases loaded when Russell Martin flew out to center to end the inning.

The Rockies won it one frame later when James McDonald (3-3) was unable to retire a batter.

Stewart drew a walk to open the 10th and Carlos Gonzalez put down a bunt along the first base line. Gonzalez beat it out for a single and a poor throw by first baseman James Loney allowed Stewart to reach third.

Todd Helton was walked intentionally to load the bases and Tulowitzki sent the first offering from McDonald into left-center for the winning hit.

Colorado's extra inning victory came one night after the Rockies stunned San Francisco by coming from three runs behind with a five-run 14th inning. The Rockies have won four in a row.

Matt Herges (3-1) got the win against the Dodgers by working a perfect top of the 10th.
