San Francisco, Aug. 8: A bases-loaded walk to Brandon Phillips ignited a five-run ninth inning Friday that broke a tie and lifted Cincinnati to a 10-5 victory over San Francisco.

Cincinnati got only one ball, a sacrifice fly, out of the infield in the inning, and only one of the five runs was earned.

Drew Sutton reached on a bunt single to start the inning against Brian Wilson (3-5), then Alex Gonzalez and Joey Votto walked to load the bases.

Phillips walked on five pitches to bring in Sutton with the go-ahead run.

After Brandon Medders relieved Wilson, a fielding error by catcher Bengie Molina allowed a run to score. Another run came in on a throwing error by third baseman Pablo Sandoval. A wild pitch delivered another score, and a sacrifice fly to center by Laynce Nix brought home the fifth run.

San Francisco committed five errors in the game.

David Weathers (3-3) got the win by working the bottom of the eighth.

Francisco Cordero loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the ninth, but got out of the inning with no damage.
